Like a quilt made from many colors and textures, Creative Elders 2 brings together poems, essays, short fiction, artwork, photography, and even a few playful limericks—each piece reflecting the humor, wisdom, and resilience of our residents.
As resident quilter and author Barbara Donnaruma writes in the preface, the book is about taking many unique pieces and creating something new and beautiful—much like life at Shaker Pointe itself.
The anthology has been praised by leaders in the literary community, including Paul Grondahl of the NYS Writers Institute and author John Gray, who both highlight the depth, creativity, and spirit found within its pages.
